Pandemic Posts - November 2020

Well, well, well, we meet again! I'm working on this post now, but how long will it take me to actually finish and post it? Only time will tell! Someone was just asking me about this blog the other day and I was like it has been way too long!

Any who, let us jump into my first Thanksgiving in a pandemic. At the time it felt kind of weird, but nice to be home. Looking back, I really wish that I could have that entire time from Thanksgiving to the New Year off, like who do I need to speak to about bringing that schedule back?!

We spent Thanksgiving preparing our favorite dishes and bringing them over to my sisters house/my childhood home and it was too chilly to eat outside, so we made plates and took them all back to our houses, got on Zoom, and then sort/kind of ate together. It felt truly dystopian but wonderful to be back home, because I didn't want to be anywhere else.

Please enjoy the hodge-podge of pictures I took around that time, in no particular order!

A gem I discovered in my card box. Made by my dad!

An iconic Chicago food staple eaten by an equally iconic father.

Thanksgiving, but make it a pandemic

Thanksgiving table for three! Grateful to even be allowed to celebrate with that many people.

A candid gem taken by Miracle.

A gem I discovered while walking around my neighborhood. Still one of my favorite murals.

I can't believe that I didn't have any memes to share! I just had this Buzzfeed quiz, which Scott is cool, but all I really wanted (still do) is Stiles!

In conclusion the end of the year was not quite as strange as the beginning, but by no means was it back to normal. Still at this time I remember being glad to be alive and very grateful for this very weird year.

Until next time!
