Pandemic Posts - June 2020 part duex

 Hello again!

I felt that June needed two posts, I felt like the Black Lives Matter deserved its own personal space. So, in between crying and holding space in June, I did other things as well! 

There were celebrations:

Erin's birthday! With a lovely post dedicated to her from Rachel. 

Liz and Mark's virtual wedding!

Technically this was not in my neighborhood, but it was a really cool market I got to go to.

Finished. I actually ended up getting my hair done here for my birthday this year!

Pandemic Posts - June 2020

 Well, hello again! 

Time for another one of these! I have almost caught up to the month that I am actually in and I am determined to do so! The goal was to do these month by month, but as you can see, that didn't quite happen lol!

Anywho, June, like many of the previous months, was filled with joy and mourning. I realized that this was the first time in my life that I was able to sit and reflect about all the black life that was lost at the hands of the police. Usually, I would hear the news at work and just have to continue on with my day. It felt sacred to actually be able to sit and mourn in the moment, instead of having to push it to the back of my mind and continue to smile and go about my day.

It's been a helluva week over this way. Students are moving back in and all the other schools have started which is causing major traffic jams both coming and going to work.
