Dog days of winter.

Well, I certainly did sparkle in the New Year! And I do hope that you did as well.



And now we are firmly 24 days into January and surprisingly it hasn't been horrible. I'm sorry, but January and February are the worst months to be in Chicago, due to the bitter cold that slaps you in the face like an estranged and jilted lover every morning. But despite a five and a half hour drive last Friday as I went to pick up the kid I nanny for, which usually only takes me about an hour, January has behaved itself admirably. February, take notes.

Let's sparkle in the New Year.

1. A shirt for NYE.
Still needed:
1. Sparkly heels
2. Accessories
3. Bomb.com jeans that make me look like a have a figure
This is not a practice test ladies and gents. It just got real. T-minus 2 days to get this done.

Honduras.

So, I had a very Harold and Kumar moment this Christmas season. Remember at the end of the movie where the girl that Harold liked was going to Amsterdam? Well, the exact same thing happened to me. Come with me as I relate my journey:
A couple of months ago I noticed this guy at church and told him he had a wonderful smile. Then a scurried away from him like a deranged mouse. And then I didn't see him for months.
Then a couple of Sunday's ago I saw him again and actually had a whole conversation with him. It was so wonderful and perfectly awkward (and his smile was still great). Then through a series of random events I met his mother and she revealed to me that he is going to Honduras. What the what?! I'm sorry this is not a movie and I will not be following you to Honduras. Holla atcha girl when you get back. I'll be here. Here's hoping your smile is still great.

Anybody want to make hand turkeys?

Tis the season for everybody to come back home and I am so thankful! Here are some of my Thanksgiving plans:
1. Linner (late lunch/early dinner) with Cristina today!
2. Black Wednesday tomorrow. I was unaware that the night before Thanksgiving was a huge day to go out. I've got a lot of catching up to do.
3. Thanksgiving Thursday of course! About to go h.a.m. on all the food at Momae's. Also I'm going to contribute some pumpkin cheesecake muffins as well.
4. Twilight Friday with Lezlee and Justin. No shopping will be done whatsoever. I did it maybe twice and that is more then enough to last me a lifetime.
5. Saturday and Sunday afternoon are still open to anyone that is interested! Anybody want to make hand turkeys?
