Hello from beautiful and sunny Arizona!
A couple things that you have missed out on these past couple of weeks:
1. I got my team! We quickly adopted the motto "The struggle is real, Fire 7 knows the deal" and I'll tell you why in convenient bullet points!
2. Upon arriving to our first state park we were informed that we were a day early. So we had to camp on the park grounds for one night and setting up the tents in the wind was, of course, a struggle. Little did we know that it was just the beginning.
3. Upon arriving to our second state park we were informed that the sprinklers we were by had not been working since the summer, so there was no need to worry about them. But of course, they come on at 3 AM, I literally couldn't handle it. It was an hour of just pure chaos trying to get everything under control.
3. Naturally, Fire 7 was not done with water, because the first weekend in our second park it rained pretty much all weekend and we had tent leakage. Not only tent leakage, but a collapsed tent as well. Our FEMA trailer was definitely cramped for a couple of days.
Needless to say Fire 7 is officially over water, and luckily we've had wonderful weather since then. But we are never quite comfortable, because the struggle continues on each and everyday. And we love it.
love,
ktv
ps - Oh, and this also happened.
